Pixel and store tracking must be enabled for your company. If Website & sales is unavailable, contact SideShift. Shopify app setup is a separate integration and depends on app availability and merchant authorization.
Get started
- Open Settings → Integrations or Ads → Ad Settings, then Website & sales. Add your website with its public HTTPS domain and currency.
- Copy the installation snippet and Orders API key from its tracking setup.
- Install the pixel and connect consent.
- Save the pixel visitor ID with checkout, then send verified orders from your server.
- Select SideShift store tracking and this store in your campaign’s commission settings. Generate a tracking link for an approved creator submission.
- Verify the full flow before using it for commissions.
ss_pixel_. The secret Orders API key starts with ss_orders_ and belongs only on your server. A regular SideShift API key or OAuth token cannot replace it.
How attribution works
A visitor opens a submission’s tracking link, containing anss parameter. After consent, the pixel records the creator click. Your server submits the confirmed order with the same visitor ID. SideShift selects the latest eligible creator click in the seven days before payment, scoped to the store and eligible creator contract and submission.
One order has at most one attributed submission. Replaying an order does not create a second commission. A browser checkout event is not proof of payment. Sample orders do not earn commission. Commission terms, caps, refund settings, and creator acceptance still apply; selecting a store alone does not make an order payable.
For eligible website ads launched from an approved submission in SideShift, the ad builder adds the submission tracking code. For ads built elsewhere, copy the submission’s tracking link and use it as the destination. Preserve ss through redirects. A linkless social post cannot carry website attribution simply by adding tracking tags.
